Boston, Massachusetts: The Patrick/Murray Transition Team would like to invite you to attend and participate in our Public Safety and Security Working Group Community Meetings. This is the key part of bringing people into their
government, inviting them to play a role presenting ideas before our Transition Working Groups, which will be passing them on to the Governor-elect and his Cabinet.

Please pass on this invitation to anyone you know who would be interested in joining us at this or any of our other Community Meetings. We will be holding nearly 50 meetings all told, so there are many opportunities to participate in this transition process. B&E 45 CATHERINE ST

E-18 Hyde Park, Massachusetts: Officers from Area E-18 responded to 45 Catherine St for a B & E report on December 1st. Victim stated that unknown person or persons pushed in the air conditioner unit on the first floor side window and was able to gain access to the common area of the apartment building. Suspect then kicked in the front door to apartment #2. Victim stated that jewelry was taken.
Anyone who may have seen any person in that area around the date of December 1st is urged to contact Area E-18 detectives at 617-343-5607. Any information you may have could be helpful, no matter how small.

B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts: DECEMBER 4, 2006
Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue Stolen in Roxbury

Officers assigned to District 2 responded to the St. Francis Monastery located at 785 Parker Street on a report of a larceny on Sunday morning at 10:00am. On arrival the officer spoke with the victim who stated that sometime between 7:30pm on Saturday night and 9:00am on Sunday morning, unknown suspects stole the statue, which stood outside that address. The victim also reported that the statue of St. Francis that stands on the side of the church was damaged. Police urge anyone with information about this incident to contact them at Area B-2 Detectives 617-343-4275.

HOME LARCENY SCAM

A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts: On December 1st in Chinatown, a young boy answered the apartment door intercom after his home doorbell rang. The boy's mother was in the bathroom at the time. Through the intercom, a male voice stated that he was "U.P.S." (United Parcel Service). The young boy buzzed the suspect into the apartment building and then into his apartment. The suspect entered the apartment and observed a purse on the table. The suspect grabbed the purse and one of the portable cell phones and then fled the apartment. The suspect was described as dark skinned, small mustache, 5'9", 40-50 yrs. old, medium buid, 175 lbs., wearing a tan shirt & sweater (like the U.P.S. uniform).

Be vigilant of thieves posing as professional workers who are looking to commit robberies, larcenies and scams with the intent of taking property from you.

ELDERLY MALE ROBBED BY FEMALE CLAIMING TO BE HOME HEALTH AID

B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts: An eigty-one year old man residing in Mission Hill reported being robbed by a heavy set, hispanic female who was dressed in pink with her hair pulled back. Victim stated that when he came out of his bathroom, he observed a woman walking around in his home. The suspect stated she was from Home Health Aid and was looking for someone. The victim asked suspect for ID and the suspect stated her ID was in the car and left the premise. The victim then noticed his camera and about fifty dollars in change was missing before calling the police.

Friday Dec 22 "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" performed by the Hampstead Players. A classic tale for school age children. 3:00 P.M.
