| South End Robbery Alert! | |
| D-4 Back Bay/Fenway, Massachusetts: The Boston Police Department ( Area D-4 )wants to alert residents of the South End about a series of robberies in the area of Shawmut Ave.There have been seven robberies starting on December 29, 2006 up till January21, 2007. The robberies have taken place in the Shawmut Ave area between West Dedham St and West Concord St.Females were robbed of their purses and / or wallets in four of the incidents;males were robbed of their wallets in two incidents, and a cell phone and cash in one incident.
The incidents appear to be taking place during different times, on different days of the week, and with different suspect descriptions. Residents are advised to call 911 if they see any suspicious behavior in or around the Shawmut Ave area. We also advise residents to walk in groups and well lighted areas when ever possible. | |
