| INFORMATION REGARDING HOME DOOR LOCKS (KEY INSIDE & OUTSIDE LOCKS) | |
| E-5 West Roxbury, Massachusetts: This is to inform the public in regards to the use of home door locks that need a key to open the door from the inside and the outside of the house or apartment.
It's been reported in area newspapers about using these locks for better security. District-5 Boston Police want everyone to know that the use of these "key-in/key-out locks violate the fire code in Boston. If you have these locks or are planning to install them, you should instead use locks that only need a key to enter the house or apartment from the outside. The inside should have latch that turns to lock and unlock the door. | |
