| Unexpected Requests for Social Security Numbers | |
| C-11 Dorchester, Massachusetts: District C-11 would like to remind our fellow citizens not to divulge their social security numbers over the phone to anyone who cannot be confirmed as legitimate. Tell any caller to provide a telephone number so that the inquiry can be verified. Do not provide your social security number, telephone number or address out loud to a retail store or supermarket employee. Unfortunately, such instances allow for potential identity theft or burglary. Protect your personal information as much as possible. | |
