UNARMED ROBBERY AT RIVERWAY AND BROOKLINE AVE

B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts: Victim reported to officers the while walking home on the Riverway around midnight, three males between the ages of eighteen and twenty approached him. One suspect, described as a white hispanic male, punched victim in the face and stated "give me all you got". The victim was then surrounded and stripped of his cell phone and wallet before all suspects ran toward the Mission Hill complex.

THERE WERE TWO UNARMED ROBBERIES THAT OCCURED ONLY BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE JAMAICA PLAIN POLICE STATION AT 00 AMORY AVENUE, JAMAIC

E-13 Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts: Two robberies occured today, April 29, 2007. The first robbery occured at around 11:09 AM in the area of #00 Amory Avenue, Jamaica Plain. The victim stated while walking down the street he was approached from behind by three suspects 18-19 years old, described as #1 (black male, dark skinned, 5'7", unknown clothing, #2 (black male, wearing a black hoody, #3 (black male wearing dark clothing, stopped victim, gestured that one of suspects had something in his pocket and took victims I-Pod and MBTA pass. A few minutes later another victim who also made a report to the police, stated that he was also stopped by the above described suspects who stopped him in the same manner as the first victim and removed from the victim a small amount of U.S. currency and a Samsung cell phone.
Residents in the Amory Avenue area should be aware of any suspicious groups hanging around the area, dressed as the suspects described in the two robberies. If you see those individuals roaming around the Amory Avenue area please call the police at phone numbered 911 immediately. Help us to keep your neighborhood safe, and possibly catch those thieves.

CRIME ADVISORY

D-14 Brighton, Massachusetts: On 04/24/2007 Officers from Area D-14 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in the Chestnut Hill Avenue area. The caller provided a detailed description to 911 and to the responding officers.Several other neighbors provided descriptions to officers that assisted them in making an arrest of the suspect several streets over from the victims address.

This is the type of help that the officers at Area D-14 need to solve crimes.
If anyone observes anything suspicious in the area such as someone looking into cars, someone who is unfamilar in the area and keeps walking around the block or someone on their property that does not belong there they should call 911 right away.
911 should be given a description of the individual that includes clothing, height, weight and if there is a weapon.

CC# 070210096 on 4/20/07 11:39PM at McDonalds 870 Mass Ave victim reported that he was involved in a minor MVA while waiting in the drive thru line. 8-10 WHM age 17-20 exited the suspect vehicle and began punching and kicking the victim’s. Suspect vehicle 2004 Ford Explorer

CC# 070211539 / 070212002 / 070211886 on 4/21/07 5:40PM at Sweeney Playground D & W 5th victim reported that he was punched in the face by WM 5’11” 15 years. At 8:45PM a group of Hispanic males confronted a group of WM’s. Several of the Hispanic suspects were armed with bricks.

CC# 070215677 on 4/23/07 between 9AM & 2PM at 800 block of E 4th St victim reported that the rear patio door was forced open and 2 wall mounted TV’s were stolen.

CC# 070214546 on 4/23/07 between 12AM & 6:45AM on Linsky Barry Ct victim reported that 3 pair of sneakers, $500USC, and 2 gold chains were stolen from their apartment. No sign of forced entry, the apartment door had been locked and was found open at 6:45AM.

CC# 070205919 on 4/17/07 between 11AM & 2:30PM at 100 block of L St victim reported that an I-pod, and $3000USC were stolen from their apartment. No sign of forced entry.

CC# 070206073 on 4/19/07 11:30PM at the Olive Garden restaurant 8 Allstate Road a BM 25 years 5’9” wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers entered the building and removed unknown property. The suspect was observed pushing a Target shopping cart containing the stolen items. The suspect was last observed on Boston St. (Second incident)

Beware of Phoney Internet Scams

D-14 Brighton, Massachusetts: Recently a Brighton resident became the victim of an internet scam. The victim was advertising on Craigslist for teaching services. The victim got a response from an out of state resident for her services. The out-of state resident send a payment check and then before the Brighton resident could cash the check, the out of state resident informed the Brighton resident that he/she had overpaid the Brighton resident by $2000.00 and asked for the difference to be sent to another person. The Brighton resident did as she was told and lost the $2000.00. The original check which the out of state resident sent was from a fake account. Don't you become a victim. If you become aware of a simuliar situtaion or become a victim please call the Boston Police @911 or 1-800-494-TIPS and report this.

CC# 070191440 on 4/11/07 8:30AM at Dorchester Ave & Andrew Sq victim reported that he was approached by 3 BM’s in a beige colored Toyota Camry. 2 of the occupants exited the vehicle and asked to use the victim’s cell phone. The victim refused and one of the suspects lifted his clothing and brandished a black firearm and stole the victim’s cell phone.

CC# 070198639 on 4/14/07 9:55PM at 50 Boston St three juveniles were arrested for Armed Robbery while masked. A pellet gun was recovered on one of the suspects. The suspects may be responsible for a series of Armed Robberies in the Andrew Square area.

CC# 070202586 on 4/16/07 between 5:30AM & 7:10PM at 20 Darius Ct victim reported that the front window was open and a pink lock box containing USC was stolen. No sign of forced entry.
CC# 070201380 between 4/14/07 4PM & 4/16/07 5:45AM at 36 A St victim reported that the work site was entered via a rear door and 4 Dewalt cordless drills, compound miter saw, angle drill, and 2 Dewalt 4” grinders were stolen.

C-11 Dorchester, Massachusetts: Thanks to community cooperation the con artist working in the Dorchester area was recently stopped in the Fields Corner section and questioned. His identity has been established and because the crime is a non-arrestable misdemeanor we require further cooperation from the community. The Detective unit at C-11 is very interested in prosecuting this individual and asks any victim of this scam to contact them at (617)343-4330. First it will be necessary to complete a police report either by calling 911 and have an officer respond to take the information or come into the front desk at C-11,#40 Gibson St,and we will take it there. The detective assigned to the case will contact the victims regarding the prosecution process.

Attempted Kidnapping

C-11 Dorchester, Massachusetts: Boston Police District 11 is currently investigating an attempted kidnapping which reportedly took place in the Wrentham Street area at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Suspect description: a black male, 29 to 30 years of age, wearing glasses, a white T-shirt, gold colored chain, short hair cut, operating a white 2002 Toyota Camry, bearing MA registration 86VB44. The male suspect attempted to force the victim into this vehicle; the suspect then assaulted the victim. The victim was able to evade the suspect who fled the area in the 2002 Toyota. Boston Police request that any citizen who observes this suspect and/or this vehicle to call 911 immediately.

A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts: IMPOSTERS POSING AS COMCAST, N-STAR, AND UTILITY WORKERS

District A-1 of the Boston Police Department is advising all constituents, specifically Charlestown residents, to be watchful for imposters who are posing as Comcast, N-Star, and utility workers. These imposters, in most cases, will attempt to gain access into homes in order to: steal costly items inside of the home, steal documents for identity theft, scam people into paying fictitious work bills, flim flam residents to provide cash for future work that will never be done and threaten or physically assault people to get what they want.
District A-1 has received information that a white male, 40 to 50 years old, 6 feet tall, grey curly hair, medium build, orange sleeve vest, blue jeans, possibly driving a white van has communicated to some residents that he is a utility man that needs to gain access to the home for disconnect.
If any resident observes unusual activity, call 9-1-1. Police officers will respond and investigate.

UNARMED ROBBERY AT RIVERWAY AND HUNTINGTON AVE, MISSION HILL

B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts: About 7:54 pm Officers responded to Huntington Ave and Riverway for a robbery in progress. Victim was walking in front of 368 Riverway when he was jumped by three black non-hispanic males. The suspects initially walked toward victim, two passing close by the victim and one walking out wide. Victim was jumped by all three suspects and one of the suspects took victim's wallet. Victim was knocked to the ground and kicked several times about the head.

The suspects are described as black non-hispanic males, late teens, white hoodies, blue jeans and timberland boots. Witnesses observed the suspects run toward Huntington Ave.
