A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts: IMPOSTERS POSING AS COMCAST, N-STAR, AND UTILITY WORKERS

District A-1 of the Boston Police Department is advising all constituents, specifically Charlestown residents, to be watchful for imposters who are posing as Comcast, N-Star, and utility workers. These imposters, in most cases, will attempt to gain access into homes in order to: steal costly items inside of the home, steal documents for identity theft, scam people into paying fictitious work bills, flim flam residents to provide cash for future work that will never be done and threaten or physically assault people to get what they want.
District A-1 has received information that a white male, 40 to 50 years old, 6 feet tall, grey curly hair, medium build, orange sleeve vest, blue jeans, possibly driving a white van has communicated to some residents that he is a utility man that needs to gain access to the home for disconnect.
If any resident observes unusual activity, call 9-1-1. Police officers will respond and investigate.

The further information, contact the
District A-1 Community Service Office at #617-343-4627.
