| ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFTS & VEHICLE BREAK-INS | |
| A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts: District A-1, in the neighborhood of Charlestown,is reporting that there have been an excessive amount of vehicles broken into and also attempted thefts of vehicles in the month of January.
The majority of the vehicles have been Chrysler vehicles, mostly Jeeps. We urge all vehicle owners in Charlestown to consider auto alarms. Some owners might also consider additional security hardware that is clearly visible in the vehicle which would discourage a thief from breaking into the vehicle. The damage to many of the vehicles' ignition areas is extensive and very costly to the owner. The items taken have also been costly. Do not leave exposed items in the vehicle.
