Neighborhood Crime Watch friends,
On Sunday, July 15, over one hundred community and corporate volunteers and more than fifty Boston Police personnel handed out ten thousand nametags at the National Night Out Nametag Day at Fenway Park. They engaged roughly twenty thousand people in conversations about the importance of getting to know their neighbors and celebrating National Night Out.
Our accomplishment is extraordinary, especially given that it is the first time any one attempted to hand out as many nametags we did. The number of volunteers and nametags distributed proves that when given the chance to participate in a positive crime prevention and community building activity, they will. Congratulations to all involved and thank you!
Special thank you to:
- The Boston Red
Sox for their partnership!
- Target, Equity Office Properties, Boston Cares, SCI Lynn, Socializing for Justice, and Single Volunteers of Boston for showing up in force!
- Going.com and Game On for hosting the Volunteer Appreciation Party
